With a bite that stings and a tail that sings, rattlesnakes occupy unique niches in southern California's diverse ecosystems, where they too often come into conflict with humans. This lecture will focus on the secret lives of these extraordinary creatures, emphasizing their remarkable adaptations, their shy and inquisitive nature, and the way they use their venom to feed and defend themselves.
